Message from the Chair![]() Moe Desjardins Executive Chair, IRGO On behalf of our members, welcome to the OPS Interministerial Retiree Group of Ottawa (IRGO). The only local interministerial group dedicated solely to retired OPS employees within the Ottawa region. IRGO is dedicated to helping retired Ontario public servants by keeping them up to-date on the latest information and providing opportunities to continue to foster the camaraderie created by a career in public service. We'd be pleased if you would join us. Membership is free and open to all retired Ontario public servants. Latest News20 November 2009 The Quarter Century Club, in partnership with the Eastern Interministerial Council and the Ottawa Interministerial Council, is planning their annual OPS Employee Recognition and Retiree event. The event will be held in Ottawa on November 20th, 2009. 28 April 2009 The Interministerial Retiree Group of Ottawa (IRGO) in partnership with the Ottawa Interministerial Council (OIC) and the Ontario Quarter Century Club (QCC) held another successful retiree event in Ottawa. 19 November 2008 Two articles on IRGO appear on page three of the Ministry of the Attorney General, Court Services Division, Eastern Division's Newsletter “Oyez! Oyez!”, Volume 3 Issue 4 November 2008 14 November 2008 Long Term Funding Study Reveals Increasing Cost of Pensions 23 October 2008 Web site development started with the appointment of our Webmaster, Bill Hall, who has volunteered to give us a hand. He's hard at work developing the pages that we need. The first thing was the development of a business card which announced the arrival of our presence on the World Wide Web.
